David is the business brains behind the Charity. As a qualified accountant, he ensures the Charity maximises all fundraising activities.  His role sees him working alongside the Trustees on the future plans of London’s Air Ambulance and certifying the development of the service. Previously from the business and financial services world, working with companies such as Rivington Street Holdings PLC, he has specialised in bringing small companies to market and growing their value. 


A family man at heart, David cares for shooting, sailing and trying to keep fit to keep up with his two grown up sons. He enjoys serving the London community as Charity Director for London’s Air Ambulance.

 

JulianThompsonDr Julian Thompson

Role: Executive Director and Doctor
Joined: 2010

Julian qualified as a doctor from Oxford University in 2001 and trained in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in London and Oxford. He worked as a doctor on London’s Air Ambulance in 2010 and returned as an Executive Director in November 2011 to lead an enhancement of the capacity and funding of the service in partnership with senior figures in the City of London.


His interest in Pre Hospital Care has been developed through his experiences of working with the British Army in Afghanistan and leading mountaineering and exploratory expeditions across the world. In 2005 he reached the summit of Mount Everest and has combined this passion with a research interest in the response of the human body to extreme environments.

 

JanemarshIan Wilson

Role: Finance Manager
Joined: 2012

Ian trained with Deloitte, before moving up to North Yorkshire and qualifying in 2006 with the ACCA.  A move into industry saw him working as the Group accountant for an AIM listed plc in Teesside before being relocated to London in 2008. During this period Ian managed the company finance department through periods of significant change and finally becoming CFO in November 2011. Since coming to London and joining London's Air Ambulance, he has completed various challenges and fundraising for the charity, including the abseil on Canary Wharf, 5k runs, and the Carol singing event. In his spare time, Ian cycles and runs.  

 

Christine MargettsChristine Margetts

Role: Fundraising Manager
Joined: 1997

Christine was the first person employed to fundraise for the charity in 1997. If you need to know about a fundraising matter, she is your lady! Largely working on the Gala Ball, golf events and general managing of the fundraising office, Christine is passionate about raising funds for the cause and development of the charity. Christine began working for the NHS in the School of Physiotherapy, where her fundraising interests began; she then became a medical secretary before taking up the post of Fundraising Manager.

In her first task for the physiotherapy department Christine raised £4,000 from a parachute jump, enabling the purchase of a treadmill, and when she was the landlady of a pub, she also gained experience raising funds from her legendary quiz nights! When not working for the charity she enjoys holidaying at her house in Spain and riding her Harley-Davidson with her husband.

 

Siobhra MurphySiobhra Murphy

Role: Public Relations Manager
Joined: 2011

Siobhra (pronounced Sheefra) joined London’s Air Ambulance from Bishopsgate Communications, where she spent three years working in the City, specialising in Financial and Corporate communications for public companies – some in the healthcare sector.  Previous to this, she worked in a Digital Marketing agency, where she gained her knowledge of utilising digital and social media platforms to increase brand awareness. 


Siobhra’s key role within the Charity is to enhance awareness of the imperative service London’s Air Ambulance provides to the 10 million people who live, work and commute within the Capital.   She looks after the Charity's communications and branding.  True to her Irish roots, Siobhra loves to talk and socialise a lot.

 

JanemarshJane Marsh

Role: Events Manager
Joined: 2012

Jane joined from the British Accreditation Council (BAC) where she was responsible for managing and developing BAC’s range of events and professional services as well as overseeing BAC’s relationship and communication with accredited institutions. Jane’s role at London's Air Ambulance is to manage existing charitable fundraising events as well as expanding the range of events that contribute to the fundraising support of the charity. 

Jane has a passion for skiing and outdoor activities, and can think of nothing better than spending time with friends in the mountains, by the coast or in the countryside.

Dale CornishDale Cornish

Role: Lottery Manager
Joined: 2012

Dale manages all aspects of the daily running of the lottery, as well as helping to grow the number of lottery members supporting London's Air Ambulance. Dale previously worked for Warner Music Group, managing international music licensing rights and business development, and before that in finance and corporate credit at Ascent Media Group. Dale enjoys films from all around the world and long walks in London or the country.

 

JanemarshMeyrem Hassan

Role: Trust Fundraiser
Joined: 2012

Meyrem joined from the Royal London Society for the Blind (RLSB) where she was responsible for business development and statutory income. Her role at the LAA will be to manage Trusts and Foundations. Meyrem has a passion for music and is currently learning how to play the violin.

 

JanemarshAmanda Crozier

Role: Corporate Account Manager
Joined: 2012

Amanda Crozier is the charity’s token Kiwi, and took up the role as the Corporate Account Manager after arriving in London in April 2012. Working in both non-profit and commercial sector she has experience liaising with large FMCG clients and other corporate partners in brand CSR strategy. She has worked in local, national and international non-profit organisations. Like most New Zealanders she loves the outdoors, and is working on her ‘UK to do’ list which includes a visit to the Lakes District, all four corners of the UK, and hike some of the heritage byways across the English countryside. She is passionate about charitable giving, emergency disaster relief and travel.

 

JanemarshHarry Selley

Role: Corporate Researcher
Joined: 2012

Harry joined us in March 2012 from Sydney Australia where he did his bachelor in political science and history and worked as an assistant editor and researcher for his professor on a book about Chinese nationalism. Harry’s main role is to provide our corporate, trusts and high level donor fundraising initiatives with research and assistance in order to establish more relationships. He is also managing our new database and client relationship management system, which was recently adopted to help the charity to stay on top of its busy day to day activities. 

Originally from England he is thoroughly enjoying working for a unique organisation at the heart of London that is so vital to the community. He finds the operational and medical side of London’s Air Ambulance fascinating and seems happy to talk on the subject for quite some time without drawing breath, so don’t get him started! 

 

JanemarshEva Petrova

Role: PR Assistant
Joined: 2012

Before joining London's Air Ambulance, Eva specialised in consumer PR at Edelman, Prague, where she undertook product and corporate communication for international brands. Eva has established herself as an independent marketing consultant in London. She has a Masters in Media and has balanced off vagueness of her degree by participating in enterprise projects and competitions.    

 

JanemarshLindsey Dixon

Role: Events Assistant
Joined: 2012

Originally from London, Lindsey has recently moved back to the capital from Sydney and joins London’s Air Ambulance as Events Assistant.  With a background in the music industry Lindsey spent five years arranging international tours for Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi and recently set up a DJ Agency in Australia.  Her role at London’s Air Ambulance is to support the Event Manager in overseeing charitable fundraising events.  When not encouraging people to get involved in London’s Air Ambulance events Lindsey can be found travelling, skiing, horse-riding or hiking.

 

JanemarshMaureen Mullholland

Role: Lottery Data Administrator
Joined: 2011

Maureen handles the vast majority of data and queries relating to the lottery, and is most likely the person you will speak to on the 'phone if you have a lottery query. Maureen has previously worked at HSBC in their extremely busy Oxford Street branch and before that for Tata Steel. Maureen is a proud mother of one and enjoys travelling.
